Accident scene: Relatives of one of last night’s accident victims console each other
The dead bodies of five of the victims remained on the road for hours as police officers cordoned off a portion of the highway, awaiting the District Medical Officer.
The accident caused a massive traffic pile-up on both sides of the highway as commuters parked their vehicles and crowded the scene to view the accident.
One commuter said: “It was just terrible, the bodies were all over and some people could not stand to look.”
