The pipes are stainless steel, the 4" intake is aluminum, not polished or anything.

That project looking promising. Keep up the good work. We have an S14 at the shop that has a KA24 turbo motor. I take pics and add it to my "friends" thread whenever the car is clean. He keeps it dirty and I don't like taking pics of dirty cars.

I think if u running sub 12s you going to have to put a roll cage in and a transmission guard (i forgot the name, it protects u incase ur clutch disintegrates and send debris through the car and into ur body),hmmmm another fucking expense.. So all fellas with high aspirations it aint cheap!

Actually, anything quicker than an 11.500 requires a roll cage. Hopefully I'll get my warning next time I go to the track [driver] [ban] .

NHRA Regulations from uban racer
- Tyler tyler@urbanracer.com wrote: 11.49 ET or Quicker
Flywheel Shield (vehicles equipped with a clutch)
6 Point Roll Bar (refer to General Regulations, section 4:10)
Three-inch-wide driver restraint system labeled as meeting SFI 16.1 including crotch strap (must be updated at two-year intervals from date of manufacture)
Jacket meeting SFI 3.2A/1

Single layer, 3.2A/1 driving jackets like this one from R.J.S. are relatively inexpensive and are required when going quicker than 11.49 ET. This type of jacket is legal until you reach either 9.99 ET or 135 mph, whichever comes first.

A flywheel scatter shield is required on clutch equipped vehicles at ETs of 11.99 and quicker. Flywheel scatter shields help contain the flywheel and clutch pieces in the case of a catastrophic clutch failure. There are a number of commercially available units available for popular engines such as this Honda B-Series model from Mazworx Race Supply. On applications where a pre-made scatter shield is not available, the NHRA SC rulebook outlines the design specifications for construction of a compliant shield.

10.99 ET or Quicker
SFI spec 4.1 Transmission Shield (vehicles equipped with automatic transmission)
SFI spec 30.1 Flexplate Shield (vehicles equipped with automatic transmission)
SFI spec 29.1 Flexplate (vehicles equipped with automatic transmission)

135 mph or Faster
Flywheel Shield (vehicles equipped with a clutch)
Master Battery Cutoff
10 Point Roll Cage (refer to General Regulations, section 4:11)
Window net
Three-inch-wide driver restraint system labeled as meeting SFI 16.1 including crotch strap (must be updated at two-year intervals from date of manufacture)
Jacket and Pants meeting SFI 3.2A/5
Gloves meeting SFI 3.3/1
Neck Collar meeting SFI 3.3
Image
A two-layer, SFI 3.2A/5 jacket like this Simpson model offers much better protection over a single-layer jacket. A 3.2A/5 jacket or suit is required when running quicker than 9.99 ET or faster than 135 mph.
Image
Any time an SFI 3.2A/5 jacket is required, it is also mandated that you have matching 3.2A/5 pants. Alternatively, a one-piece driving suit meeting SFI 3.2A/5 specs may be worn.
Image
SFI 3.3/1 gloves are required at 9.99 ET or 135 mph.
Image
An SFI 3.3 neck collar is also required at the 9.99 ET / 135 mph point. NHRA does allow you to modify a neck collar, as long as the manufacturer’s instructions are observed.

9.99 ET or Quicker
Master Battery Cutoff
10 Point Roll Cage (Refer to General Regulations, section 4:11. Must be inspected and serialized by NHRA every three years.)
Window net
NHRA competition license
Jacket and Pants meeting SFI 3.2A/5
Gloves meeting SFI 3.3/1
Neck Collar meeting SFI 3.3

150 mph or Faster
Parachute

*Engine diaper or catch-pan device to capture oil and debris in event of engine failure mandatory. Where exhaust header passes directly under oil pan, two-piece diaper may be utilized. FWD vehicles using OEM manual-transmission case must also have such a device for the transmission, to capture oil and debris in event of transmission failure. If catch-pan device is used, catch pan must employ minimum 1-inch-high lips on all sides. Lips must be coved or curved inward, so as to contain oil in pan. 1-inch-high lips are a minimum. In all cases, lips must be adequate enough to contain oil in the catch pan. Should a competitor spill oil from the catch pan onto the track, he or she may be disqualified from further competition until catch pan is upgraded, regardless of height of pan lips or pan design.
