Re: 356 BHP EVO VII
Do not believe the magazines or Manufacturers claims
To sell the products they use extremely high estimates( eye catching ones).
Look at the table below regarding my car. Based on their claims I have 450 plus BHP.
Using low estimates I am closer to reality, all I am missing to get there is a proper tune, I am currently pushing 359bhp to the wheels.

Magazines can also change the correction factor tables on the dyno to get it to bump up power figures.
Based on the dyno they use also it may read higher or lower. no 2 dynos are the same.
One of the magazines recently lost most of their advertisers because they did a myth busters like issue. Some of the brake companies etc issued them a lawyer letters and removed their campaigns from the magazine

Well it serves them right, obviously no two tings can be the same. Some people make a great deal about numbers and figures that are insignificant. Also when modifying cars 1+1 doesn't =2 not every mod equates to more hp.... certain mods tend to add more hp at the expense of torque others torque increase while hp increase is miniscule. AMS did a recent dyno on their 240sx made some decent hp (450) however they did not want to disclose the torque figures.
