From what I have gathered both engines are DOHC, but one is dual vvt instead of just vvti on one cam. The blocks are the same, compression ratios 11.0-11.5:1 Wow, that's honda ish.86mm x 86mm, so it square can someone say rev it up!!.

Seems I may have to get an exhaust manifold gasket for this Beams engine so I can make a turbo manifold for it. I on another project.. more info later. Anyone know whether the heads are the same, red top beams and black top.

In 1998 a second version was released with dual VVT-i (variable timing on both the intake and exhaust cams), titanium valves and a slightly higher compression ratio than the red top

For those that were interested in this car, I thought I would post some pictures of a turbo charged Altezza here in St. Lucia. This is one sweet looking car and has a very nice, professionally installed turbo system. The word is that the car work was done by Greddy in Japan and has mainly Greddy products as you can guess.

Whats really cool is the clutch booster that has been installed on the right side forward of the air intake to ease clutch pressure for the obviously uprated clutch.

Hopefully the owner will try the car out at the base and do som 1/4 mile runs. I will let you know if he does...
