yeah they told me all the tie lies with the lending institutions. they got lil issues with policies and all. and the delay is maddening. and NDFD told me they got issues with lending too because of delinquency with lots of small businesses.
Doh get me started on that...it has more to do with lending institutions, because the money is GIVEN to them...they just recently got another 1.5 million thats why the programmed re-oppened. As i said...it has a lot of tye associated with it..plus the mandatory 6mnth course before you get money

yeah but the question is if the organizers can handle it like the others do? dont mean because they do it those here automatically capable. but a sideshow would be nice. not a mini jam though.

yeah i had a lil meeting with The director and the other staff member in charge. and i was asking how one who already in business can be in the same training as new comers, so they said they organising that so people like u and me who have our objectives clear can do some training, not all so we can access the fund, but oh well, the long haul of waiting for funds and all that is hell. anyway i tried my best to find out all i could and what i got was that previous applicants messed up with delinquency ofcourse and then what he also told me was that people were allowed to access funds and not produce any invoices nor receipts. ofcourse when they make it that easy people gonna mess it up. i got one instance of a successful applicant leaving state without notifying the establishment, abandoning equipment and all. in other news, the world bank did a study some months ago and Dominica ranked 76 out of 174 in difficulty with succeeding in small business. so this fund basically gonna put lots of youth in debt depending on the business type and their will to prevail. i dunno, my 2 cents but hey its really tough out there when u gotta struggle from scratch to access a fund then start business with a 43.6% survival possibility. oh and could be declining or fluctuating depending on business type.

entertainment on di side????? i guess a console of some sort would entertain some ppl...a distraction from the main idea IMO
a dj is a good idea IMO...when I was in ANU a while back that's how it was....everybody diggin the night's races while a dj(i think it was Poison Dart) play some music. personally, cars and music go hand in hand, so a dj, IMO, would almost be a requirement.
a sick idea would be some RC's and a small circuit. charge ppl a minimal few and let them go up against each other. RC drifting is the bees knees.
You got to have music, what happens when there is spillage on the track or during breaks oh my such boredom.. being a spectator at a track and a participant is two completely different experiences, even as a spectating racer it can get boring QUICK!!!!!!

What upsets me about things like that is that the problem is not with small businesses at all. It has more to do with Mr. X is my friend so I'll give him money even though his business plan is crappy and he has no real business sense and all his ventures usually fail. Mr. Y however has to come up with paperwork out of his $%# to satisfy certain criteria and he may still not get the money even though he has a great business plan with inventive ideas to make his program work. If I sound a bit bitter about the subject it is because I am, if you don't have a string to pull, plenty times in DA you are screwed
