Re: Project MSP
Happened to me recently on the Tercel, race shifting from 1st to 2nd from the toll booth felt the engine drop, 2nd and 4th felt kinda squishy, then one day the shifter got soft. It mostly affects the forward back shift linkage not the left to right motion. Most times u have to change both to be on the safe side, I ended up replacing em with OEM units for USD$130 each. It is gonna cost my padna more. It should be noted that this is a labor intensive job. You have to pull the gear shifter assembling and work in the extremely tight confines engine bay between firewall and engine. It sucks!
The MSP is getting 9lb flywheel, stage 3 clutch kit and E-man during the downtime, "hopefully"

UPDATE
Went to south jersey to check it out for myself, turns out that those guys who initially claimed it was the Gear linkage were just belching bubbles. I lay beneath the car to check for any unusual tings loose under there or leaks.Nothing out of the blue, but you can hear the clutch fragments rattle inside the bellhousing.

Re: Project MSP
MSP back up and running if it wasn't mentioned before it suffered from a broken LSD and burnt clutch. The upgraded LSD put in and Spec Clutch Kit with mineral oil in there for first 500miles. Moderate driving resulted in a proper break in. After the break in period the oil was flushed so any unwanted particles would be removed and replaced with Royal Purple Synthetic Gear oil
. This is my first experience with it and right now believe it or not we have traction issues at the same boost (10psi) as before. That is fucking amazing!!!!!!! First victim was an 04 WRX STi an a 91 Corvette... mad props to the STi owner. 1/4 Ets will be posted with slip for proof, estimates are at mid 13s to high 12s.
New mods to come, bullet proof buttom end with forged pistons and rods, aligned crank, reinforced head with oversized valves and dual springs custom cams. Fuel & Spark management will be handled by Megasquirt and a turbo upgrade is in the works as well so look out for big things from the MSP.

Re: Project MSP
Just ordered the MS130-K unassembled kit, should be getting it on monday or tuesday, so I'll be assembling, configuring and installing MS-I V3.0 on the MSP by weekend. We are only going to run fuel until we figure out our ignition set up (msd coils/ HEi set up) As far as I we know this will be the first MSP running MS.
