unless he goes with HKS twins or modified USDM twins (if they can fit). My boys in Florida just did a swap on a sc400 and put in a 1J with HKS twins and boy that thing rocks at 20psi.

What size does he want to use? Does he want new or used?

Those HKS twin would most likely be HKS T3-G. Currently looking at turbos in the 650-700 whp region, two main contenders are the Holset hx40 and the Borg Warner S362. Right now a T70 is going to be the first stage though and then later will switch over to something more reliable.
Made a random decision to have the body touched up in a few places that need attention and spray over completely while it is at the shop to change the windshield, and have the portion of the body kit restored, so lets see what it looks like in two weeks.

a Paint job helps in the "feeling to wash your car" department. That's always fun. Post some pix

I'd look at the holset seriously, but they do cost quite a bit new.

Holset HX35 and 40 in the tuner world are usually purchase second hand for about $250 to $300. In original format the HX40 would be a t4 flange, but you can get a BEP back house a .55 or .70 with a T3 flange that bring the cost to 500 to 600 us. A new Borg Warner S362 is right about that price range brand new maybe 800us.

Don't see the need to go past even a 62 in Dominica. Doesn't the blk mk3 have a 67 and he has traction issues. A T70 is plenty for DA. One of my boys in florida used to run an S trim T70 and that thing pulled nice on the highway. There was noticeable lag down low and he is running a 2j, which has more torque than a 1j. He now runs a GTS-SS.
