A long overdue post on Project V. The car was originally purchases locally with very minor issues, Dead front shocks, a leaking BOV, faulty A/c Fan.

Over the past few months things have been replaced gradually, which helped bring back the raw performance of the car.

The car came with a few simple bolt ons:
Ralliart boost gauge
Apexi Downpipe
Apexi Power intake and Filter

So far the following has been installed on the car:

Evo X All metal diverter valve
We got a replacement A/c fan from another lancer
Custom 3" Cat-back exhaust was fabricated
BC Racing BR Type Coilovers
Hallman Manual Boost Controller
Stock ECU with Ceddy Mods (Launch control - Antilag - Multimaps - Speed Density)

Car Weight: 2980kg
Full tank of gas + no driver and subs


The goal of this project is to do minor mods which can yield substantial gains. This requires careful selection of parts in question on a needs basis.

The Hallman MBC was installed after the factory boost control solenoid went faulty. We needed a method of controlling boost and the hallman proved rock solid from previous projects.

The factory restrictive exhaust was scrapped in favour of a Mandrel bent 3" system.

The ultimate plan with this car is to convert over to speed density, And I will be documenting the journey along the way. Will post up wiring diagrams, logs etc.

Will start with the suspension Upgrades

We decided to install a pair of BC Racing BR Type Coilovers. The car has been crying for suspension upgrades over the last year. They finally arrived today and time wasn't wasted to have them installed.
the factory suspension weighed in at:
18lbs per side at the front
and 8lbs per side at the rear

The BCs weighed in at:
7lbs per side front
4lbs per side rear

How does the bc suspension ride, our roads are probably on par interms of bumps and pot holes lol

Surprisingly very compliant, Less harsh than stock was

Now speed density on the car has a few minimal requirements

Map Sensor - Check (GM 3 Bar)
Iat - Using AFM's at the moment


Some of the other things to be taken care of for our project goals
3.5" Core FMIC
Short route piping with Iat Bung welded on
New AFM-less intake


Now a big of background on the ceddy rom in question,
We are going to be using the Second release of the rom which features:

• Speed Density Calculations - With MAP connected to Rear O2 input, VE% can be logged. For transition to full Speed Density.
• 10-bit ADC for MAP - ADC lookup for MAP Sensor added, updates ~100 Hz. x4 resolution of normal ADC lookups.
• Fuel Cut(Boost Cut) Limit Doubled - Previous limit was 318 Load, now up to 638 Load is possible.
• NLTS Clutch Input - Fixed. Was inverted.
• Injector Size Map Switched - Injector Size is now Map Switched, for running alternative fuels.
• Dual Ignition Retard Limits - Normal Ignition Retard Limit, and a second Limit is added that is active with Launch Control - AntiLag.
• Lean Spool and Secondary Air System sections added to EcuFlash.
• Speed Density section added.
• Knock Control items renamed - Knock Multiplier is now called BackGround Noise, for easier understanding.
• Minimum Throttle % added to Launch Control - Allows Launch Control to be disabled with Low Throttle. For gravel, low traction, etc.
• CEL on Knock and Antilag AFR - Possible that EcuFlash changes were not taking effect in previous version. Now Fixed.
• EvoScan Logging - Map Switching and Clutch Switch input logging requests added. Speed Density requests now work.

All these are custom features added into the stock ecu

Using the map sensor, wideband and our open port cable I will soon be able to log and build the VE or volumetric efficiency map
