Re: Project 4G63T PG1 Updated
Did a bit more work today:
Gapped the rings
Rechecked piston to cylinder wall clearance
Rechecked rod bearing clearance
Checked crank end play to make sure it was within spec.
Needed to get the head torqued on first b4 i can properly torque the Main studs. So that will probably be tackled tomorrow or within this week
The pistons and rods are now residing in the motor. Everything will be torqued down tommorow...the socket i used for the ARP bolts seems to has grown some legs from the tool kit so I was unable to torque the rod bolts down.

Did a lil bit of work today....started clearing the engine bay in prep for paint and a partial wire tuck
Got rid of the ABS...thing weighs about 40 lbs. Will have to replace some of the brake lines and the proportioning valve.
Gonna take the opportunity to rebuild the brake and clutch master cylinders.

I would not rebuild those components....just get new pieces.....especially the brake master cylinder. You don't do it right and you end up over a cliff. Maybe you can go with one from say a GTO or EVO.

Re: Project 4G63T PG1 Updated
Going to evo changes the Ratio. I've considered the GTO but i want to switch to GTO front and rear calipers first. But to do rear calipers i need the rear arms and extend my hand brake cable. This will also bring my front to rear track back in line since mitsu decided to design these cars with more track in the front than the rear.
I may buy new master cylinders...but they are not exactly at the top of the list.

I rebuild both the brake and clutch mater cylinders on my car.. how ever I kept on melting the rubbers in the clutch master cylinder. I guess it wasn't designed for the heat that was coming off the turbo's. It was fairly close. If you rebuilding go with Genuine parts.

How about one from a newer VR4 or say a EVO2 or 3?

Too much freaking work.
have to get hub rings, wire up sensors, Redo brake lines and proportioning valve, Tap source from the Ecu, source pump and control unit. Splice into my harness to wire it up. NOT WORTH it.
