Its been a while since I've given any updates. I haven't done much on the car. Got the boost to stabilize. Its st 16.5 psi which is pressumably stock. I use 100 octane in the car and daily which is a rough estimate MIx between vp 110 and 93 octane. On fridays I run the VP 110 in her at the track. Version 3 and 4 sti runs insane ignition timing under boost best time at the track 14.42 quarter. My reaction time sucks as well as fucking check engine light comes on and keeps coming on safe mode. Without safe mode I believe high 12s stock. Will find out on Friday.

Mods to be installed next week
Sti big brakes all 4 corners with performance pads 11.4" rotors 4 piston calipers up front

Emanage ultimate to get rid of the speedlimiter and launch control. Bows down at 120mph.

Under drive pulleys
Boost controller
Bov.

laptop is back up.. have gone to the track a few more times, best time 14.1@99mph the exit time is proof enough that the car is capable of 13s or possibly high 12s ...Thats another story the clutch is slipping at 3000rpm at wot. [mad] went up in smoke after trying to launch. doing the clutch on these cars is so involved it would make more sense to pull the motor.

Mod time has started
Exedy Stage 2 clutch kit
Act Pro lite flywheel 9lb
Xspower Top Mount Intercooler 20x11.5x4.5"
Stainless steel 4 to 1 header and up pipe
3" catless downpipe
Omori egt gauge and probe
0mori oil pressure gauge
Magnecore wires w/iridium plugs
STi shifter and shifter bushings

Pics posted soon...

Its been a while since my last post. The fozzy is 10k miles into its swap problem free... well mostly.. Have a ground issue which dramatically reduces power when it occurs. Just a simple battery to body ground, I did a temp fix on that, but since the car is gonna be down for an entire 4 days for upgrades I am not to pressed to fix that body ground.

Grounds are very important poor grounds=
higher electrical resistance
poor sensor performance
electrical noise
power drop to coils, fuel pump, injectors etc (walbro quiets down, I miss my walbro whine!!)

The brakes possing a problem with my stock 16x6.5 alloy, the front calipers touch the spoke, the rear 2 pots I need a bracket which I am getting when I redo my entire rear suspension since mine is rusty. I am presented with two options
A. 5mm to 10mm wheel spacers with accompanying studs
B. New wheels

I am going with option B, with 18x9.5 Rota Grids +38mm offset for that nasty look as seen on the aggressive fozzy post. It will be Wrapped in 245/40/r18 Bridgestone RE sport tires :(( no mileage warranty those bastards. and I can't trade in my Firehawk GT so i'm keeping them for winter. :((

More goodies, and yes chardy i am keeping the fozzy forever, might buy a newer (05-08) one next year once this one becomes impractical as a daily driver.

Stage 3, 6 spuck clutch kit with act pro lite 9lb flywheel. In transit read the check engine light comes on on the 02 wrx with real light flywheels. We shall see. stock flywheel is 23lbs or so Got a better deal on the stage 3 than the stage 2.

Cancelled plans for the downpipe, Turboxs has a 4" downpipe ($276) that tappers into a 3" where it meets the catback. I am going to replace the stock sti catback i have with an SPT (Subaru Performance Tuning) Catback which is 3"

SSAUTOCHROME/XSPOWER Top mount intercooler 20x11.5x4.5 way bigger than the stock unit..some modification needed bov won't fix due to the idle control valve. will be blocked off and new flange welded on

AMK Stainless 4 to 1 header with egt pot on the number 3 cylinder notoriously lean cylinder

PLX devices Wideband SM-AFR, the slimest 52mm gauge I've ever seen its gonna be placed in my sunglasses holder up top lol. depends on whether i can see it easily. My LM-1 is for sale only 150.00 with sensor

Not done yet

Omori EGT gauge 52mm and thankfully its in degrees celcius lol fahrenheit confuses me

Omori Oil pressure Gauge also 52mm

Stainless Brake lines

Stainless CLutch line

Strut Brace front and rear and H brace.. 90% of sti stuff (non body parts) fit the foresters The rear has to be modified a bit fine with me.

Thats next phase more POWER
My V23 turbo is for sale as well as the stock top mount, stock injectors, lines,
raising funds for MHI 20G TD05 or even a td06 been youtubing alot the 2 litre seems fine with either, I am sick of hearing engine grunt at 6000-8000 rpm like is a honda I have. Poor tranny.. PPG gears anyone?? also pondering front lsd, aluminum control arms, complete rear suspension over haul, just replace all that nastiness back there, winter salt just fucks shit up I can't even adjust my rear toe and camber. the adjustment bolts are severely corroded and that rear toe is off alot, wearing my tires unevenly remedyin it with regular tyre rotation and constant maintaining right tyre pressure.

just completed the clutch and flywheel, the old clutch was down to the rivits, and the metal surfaces were black and blue signs of serious heat damage. most probably from trying to launch the bitch. Used loctite on everything make sure they stay where I put them. Doin a clutch on a subaru isn't fun at all!

500mile breaking period came up and the fozzy went down.... :(( I was doing a nasty bit of speed racing a modified rabit (vw rabit i.e) Licks on him But my exit was coming up.. long story short after mis-shifting i started hearing a knock... So my EJ20 is no more, spun a rod. There was smoke coming from the hoodscoop, must\ve been from the brakes, and clutch. ohhh well, options are sell, overhaul, rebuild (ej22t block with forged pistons) or just buy another motor on thursday. Fucking sad..
