Dude don't be afraid to charge...D/cns like freeness too much. $25 is not alot of money to pay...no contribute to the further development of a product. Most guys spend more than that on a Friday night. Besides, if it goes towards cash prizes why not keep the charge.

The burnout contest should be outdoor anyhow. Why not have it ove in the newer section where the cars go when they come of the ship. You could probably run a triple set of old tyres as a type of fencing.

On the crowd control issue, there were barriers set up but people just insist on being in front of instead of behind the barriers, I am not sure if even the provision of a fully inter-connected barrier would have made a difference.
Also a clearly designated area where the porta-toilets are located would be a good thing.

Well I second starboy on the toilets was looking for them whole day...

In addition to that I second sci on this comment..
A few owners including my father said if something isn't done about how cramped everything is and how close people got to the vehicles they won't participate again. People went as far as sitting on peoples grills and placing drinks and sitting on participant's vehicles.
I personally took it personal.. especially for Johnny.. who had people resting.. putting their entire body weight on d man spoiler.. 3 hefty woman i should say.. Starboy .. coming to leave with his vehicle and his trunk transformed into a bar.. with popcorn etc.

I for one kept thinking if my vehicle was there.. and this was goin on.. I would be thoroughly pissed. Alot of the spectators would have come off thinking I am over reacting..but many of the persons who did that had no concept of the work, money and passion that's involved with these vehicles for the owners. Sooo..

I could say better crowd control..but with our limited resources.. lets see.. warning signs.. dont touch signs.. visible ones..proper spacing between cars.. most probably wouldn't happen under any shed i can think off.. Overall.. I loved the show. With improved resources we could really have a good thing in d/ca.

And thats where the $25 comes into play. The fees could be used to invest in a better set up like roping of the cars etc.

Well for me it wasn't a big deal because it was guys I lime with and no one was sitting on it or behaving arbitrary around it so it was cool for me but for the rest of the owners I totally empathize.
