Is it true that the Manager of the Dominica Air & Sea Ports is giving the use of the Canefield Airport a thumbs up?

They maybe thought it was the parking lot allu was talkin about...

Don't let me come over to MARPIN and slap you silly.
Basically if the runway is used, we have to pay for the Civil Aviation authority to inspect and certify the runway is ok for planes once more. Thus this is a cost we would have to pay plus the use of the track, plus insurance for any damages caused.

What excuse will they have, the runway is too short??

the runway is 3200ft to be exact. Just a bit under 3/4 miles.

Ok so we looking at a new event altogether or part of automotive ave, May 3?
Seeing its 3/4 mile long maybe there could be high speed runs similar to our Texas Mile event...just make it 1/2 mile instead. Less chance of breaking something at first, and a way to build cash flow and interest.

There are a couple other thoughts like closing off a section of Roseau and the Canefield back round and/or Layou Valley Rd, but thats another day. Eitherway, enjoy this small victory. Hopefully there will be more to come.
