Re: Project Delilia
i will reference the manual tomorrow. How ever.. the car will be using these rotors for some time as its not in the budget.. seriously not in the budget to much cost factors right now.
How ever under my new paranoia u guys have me second guessing my decision.. I take heed to advice.. but i went and took a second look at the rotars today. There are still a few dark sports.. here and there.. that means.. that the machine did not skim lower than area's that were already dug out from the rotor from using finished brake pads..
The previous owner ran the car on these rotors in a poorer condition and if anything.. without it disintegrating. I will however reference the manual and try my best financially... to have them replaced, but as a temporary measure.. they are going on the car. I have a gut feeling that it will be ok. Not trying to be stubborn, .. hmm but it is what it is... i'm pretty sure they will work just fine.
how ever ... anyone have a ref on a write up bout this? would love to read it.

Re: Project Delilia
thats about 90-100mph average speed of someone driving on the Garden State parkway.. I personally do 85 to 90mph for bout 40miles straight unless a trooper is spotted.. Anyhow another reason for the rotors having discard spec etc is not that it will disintegrate but the caliper piston may extend too far out and fail.

but in dominica we are on an off the brakes about 60 times from roseau to portsmouth. so what you saying you all using more brakes in the u.s.a? and no we are not doing 120mph for 2seconds. We doing 140 of 150mph (that is about 225 to 249kph) for 2seconds. so he need that flat surface to stop that Piece of lead he calling a car.SF5 wrote:It will be fine.... not like you guys do 120mph for more than 2 seconds if any so it will be good.
