Ladies and Germs... What progress was made this weekend.

Final prep in sanding.. photo's



the doors were done again bcuz it came out with a few imperfections .. on the back half spray of the car.

Taping up.. lol that take man forever to doo... u will see why

You don't want dust from the job to go on the back half of the car that has been sprayed already... so.. we tape eh.. tape and newspaper the shit out of it.


The tall white thing in the background is my father's baby... of course. lol


Final Spray




lol.. notice how day turned to night in the photo's... I was in that garage from 8am... lol all i eat is bread and tea.. i left after 7pm.. damn.. getting a feel why..it takes so long now? lol .. bcuz the lil things takes hours to do.. We sprayed everything excluding the front and back bumpers.. the side strips. and mirrors.. it was impossible to do it.. we would have never got home if we attempted.

Over all.. the thing still came out with imperfections.. lol yes after all that work.. but.. If you dont have an eye for it.. you will never see it... if you can't tell... neither can i hehe

Anyways fellaz.. that is the last set of pics.. for this Supra.. u all gonna see.. the next set will be of the car fully built and completed in a spy shot..lol in Roseau. I will post pics of the different lil parts.. but.. none of the car. .. ..

What Delilia have been up to.. getting her rotor surface skimmed off. When u take say ur finger and pass over the rotors the surface was uneven.. meaning that the brake pads were making contact with a smaller surface area.. translating into less effective brakes. Of course this had to be taken care off. I am also proud to say that I did this on the machine myself .. well 2 of them.. lol under supervision of course.. and a constant watchful eye.. but I coming to come. lol

(The statement I am about to make is for the sake of a good laugh and in no way serious)... can somebody say weight reduction ..

is that rotor is spec? whats the before and after specs.... machining a rotor can make it unsafe if its out of spec. machine down to spec or discard spec.......those are the two specs you need to know then use a caliper gauge... just my 2 cents

I will check the manual.. but either way.. the something had to be done..it was just to rough.. soo.. its a cheaper alternative to buying new ones.. risking the chance of it being unsafe. But for safety reason I will have a look. I doubt it will make a difference though.. not that I am an expert.

Many a rotor in D/ca has gone through this process, and are still running fine.

Rotors have a minimum thickness to which they can be machined too. If they are below that thickness then they are unsafe to use, because they will break into pieces.

guys guys i bearly skimmed the surface of these rotors.. they will be fine... If I am wrong how ever.. lol that would suck.

it can disintegrate... and you will definitely think bout that.

You may have just skimmed the surface, but about the other persons before you....it would be wise to check the thickness.....no short cuts.
