well under the car the previous owner do the rubberized thing too.. or maybe it was factory. Thats where the rubberized paint should be.. so under the car is in good condition. The interior is nice, no real work to be done. Just a crack in the dash, but i getting some idea's brewing in my head, how I gonna handle that. It will look good when i done.

I think... lol I THINK, I going to start doing some body work on the car. Prep it for spraying. No engine yet and I spraying.. lol ah well, you can do that when you not paying a spray man and you have all the equipment at your disposal. Just need to purchase some materials.. (paint, filla.. etc.)..

But I think. not sure. The engine bay for sure.. maybe Sunday coming or next Sunday I'll have pics of it in the intended color for the car. Removed weather stripping Sunday past.. Gonna tackle that this week after work. Major set backs is cash flow and the engine of course.. The time to do the work is there.

This Week... drum roll please.. more boring stuff :D.. Your Welcome. Anyways as the nitty gritty work continues, here are some pics of the process, step by step we go.
GEDC0960.JPG
Wanna take a ride? If your wondering the interior had to be removed as the sanding down and stuff normally uses water, would have fallen on the seats and carpet and it was a great excuse to inspect under the carpet.. probably clean it too. If you can see from this photo, I did find some rust near the top of the targa area.... My stripping wasn't in vain. There is also some behind the dashboard.. That has to be removed to. This Is a complete strip. As you can see the windscreen as well was removed. That has to be replaced... to many cracks.
GEDC0964.JPG
Complete removal of the weather stripping all over the car. It makes for a great finish on the paint job. While you can achieve this by using a good quality tape.. sometimes taping don't get done well all the time. So now I spray the body.. without one spill over on lights .. strips etc. Had a close look at Brandon supra while i was walking passed it in traffic.. I was slightly disappointed in them lil details.... and some other vehicles.. the turbo charged Honda .. Kamillion paint.. it too has some foopa's .. soo thats just me. A lil excessive.
GEDC0958.JPG
As this is a narrow body supra, and all the rest on island are wide bodies.. I was having nightmares bout 9.5 Inch rear rims.. "Chard you think they gonna fit.. if they don't how you gonna pull of 'the look' ?". So two guys dropped by today at far far far away garage with some goodies... "Fitment" went well... I may not have the lil fender fleer and wide front fenders.. but.. I love how they fit.. :D.. no nightmares tonight.

Thats IT!!.. Till next time fowks. Spraying of the engine bay has been pushed back a lil. May spray one or two extra parts besides the bay... sooo... have to prep it... and stuff.. which takes a lil time. ya.. thats it.

Man, when I drop a ride in DA and I decide to change the colour I will be seeing you 4 sure. No half assing it here!

I don't know why you have been worried about 9.5" rims. The older supras, 87-89, were narrow and that size worked fine. Its all about offset.

that is one thing i dont fully understand myself. been doin some reading on it but i stilkl aint get the whole concept.

does choosing the right offset improve on conering and times ?
or is it jus about preserving suspension parts and tyres ?

I just know the positive offset would ensure the rims don't stick out.. in comparison to negative which would mean it will stick out more.

Motion Sickness so it have to be done.. To me thats how i have been seeing my father doing it.. and It really looks neat when he puts everything back together eh. So I bitten by that Bug my father has with body work perfection and spray job perfection.. lol .. Hope d supra come out .. "perfect".. That would suck if it didn't. The rims, I dont like to leave anything to chance.. I like to know, for a fact. Think a lil to much at times.. and If i didn't fit some I would think bout what rims to order to much and I trying to maintain my sanity. lol.. But fa real... Now I know for a fact.. feel better.

Leprakon.. Hmm well I know for a fact the body twist when the targa is off.. Dell can probably comment on that. And its not as riggid as a hard top.. even with the targa on.. but roll cage.. I did think of copying a 6 point roll cage (I think i know what i talkin bout.. maybe.. maybe not.) I saw on supra.. online but .. Still dreams man.. Don't think it will be happening soon. Maybe far future.. God willing.
