I tend to disagree about the innovative part

One thing is for sure bro...unlike the Evo X and 2008 STI which decreases in both looks and performance the New GTR increase on performance although i rather the R34 looks more...

The STi didn't decrease in performance. The new STi is faster than the Outgoing Model, and Based on other tests besides BMI, the Evo is a better overall performing car and has become more refined, versus being edgy.
The BMI vids...the cars weren't even being pushed that hard

take this into consideration
the 1 wasn't that big of a performer over the outgoing Galant VR4 RS(Evo 0)
the 4 wasn't a that big of a performer over the 3
the 7 wasn't a big improvement over the 6 TME
the X isn't a big improvement over the 9

well with nissan they always coming up with cool stuff for the cars like the hicas system on the 300zx and earlier skylines.and also the way the awd system splits the power always seemed to be a step ahead of the rest.so thats what i mean by inovative.and in terms of japanese car tests the gtr always seemed to come throught the finish line first.seldom ive seen it lose .

Thanks for the reminder. just a type O. but the fact remains both predecessors of evo and sti looked better however the sti is faster than before but th evo is not.
and sci we all know how much you lve evo so stop trying to justifying evos with all those models comparison. i think we all agree evo have d edge in overall performance over the sti but that doesn't change the fact the new sti is faster than the evo.

My love for evo isn't leaving me blinded to what the car is and isn't. Just read the reviews. Inside line said for the first time there was a Clear Winner, THE EVO! before they said it was drivers preference. the STi is a faster straight line performer....Given the fact it makes MORE power and weighs LESS.

those systems were never the first or the best implemented on the market.
Subarus DCCD was a better active diff than the Nissan
All other auto makers did a HICAS type steering longtime ago and quickly abandoned it.
You haven't looked properly to see the GTR loose. eg. 300ZX of same year vs R32GTR...the 300ZX won on Tsukuba Circuit.
The Honda NSX which was a better engineered car was always faster than the GTR
the 3000GT(GTO) VR4 is a faster car than the GTR and that car had a lot of innovation. First car with Active Aero on a japanse car, it also had 4WS as most mitsus from the 80s era.
Did you know that the Mitsubishi starion was the first Turbo japanese sports car?
You need to dig up older best motorings of the old cars vs each other. Most newer R34s involved in races are usually VSpec II NUR or VSpec II N1....not your average GTR and pretty much parts off those cars are used to make a standard GTR faster.
The GTR is real nice, but IMHO its an overhyped car that in real life can really dissapoint in its performance in factory trim.
