Date: July 22nd 2017
Location: Dublanc.
Time: 10 PM till we done.
Drivers meeting at 11 PM

Event is a hill climb of approx. 2.1 km in length. The run starts from the bottom of the hill via a rolling start and your time commences from the first corner where a safety cone will be placed. Your start time mark will be relayed to the top of the hill via cell phone and your end time will also be recorded by the timekeeper once you cross the designated cone at the top of the hill. Your time will be relayed back down the hill to the other drivers who will be waiting to run the course.
All times will be posted and from this we shall establish a standing order list from the longest time to the quickest time completed.
This event will continue on subsequent nights where the same start and end points will be marked and drivers shall be able to compete against others for time to completion.
Please note:

• No vehicles shall be running against each other at the same time
• No alcohol during the event
• All cars are welcome
• Perform Spot checks of your vehicles during the day to make sure it is in good running condition
• Anyone Starting before the marshal has signaled will be disqualified
• Running the hill (Competitively) during non supervised times is not recommended and will result in disqualification

Route


Start Line - Start of climb. Rolling start from assembly area. Not more than 30 km per hour. Time will commence at pole in picture. A cone will be placed right there to mark. A spotter will relay start to timer at the top of the hill


End mark. The pole before the large stone. 1.7 km. Thats where your time will be stopped and recorded. The distance after the pole is about 700 feet before corner

The first event has now passed. We had a few hitches but ran smoothly for the most part.

A few members couldn't make it due to prior engagements but we will announce the date for the next event shortly.

Unfortunately berkey ended up with a faulty cam angle sensor which prevented him from completing th event.

Yup. July 22nd, will be there gives me enough time to service and all.

Sending out a big thank you to all the supporters, drivers and onlookers of the dublanc hill climb. Tonight we had a total of 24 cars showing up at the event. But due to weather and road conditions we could not have performed as that would have been unsafe. Another date for the second dublanc hill climb will be announced soon. One again thanks for the support. We look forward to seeing you there again.
