That is the same noise i heard when I burned my first engine some years ago. It had low oil and I accidentally overreved it. Gone were the crank bearings, the smooth engine sound, and the ability to drive.

never been a victim of a faulty oil filter before? that can suck too. chokes the oil flow and there goes your bearings again. :(

That sounds like my Tsi engine after combination of hard run, low oil and overboosting... look on the bright side, it in limp mode... (limp home)

Alas...I had no limp mode. Only get-towed-home mode...and i was on the other end of the island when it happened :\
