Best of Chard Worlds

How's this for an unusual engine swap. It seems the owner of this WRX got sick of hearing that distinctive boxer burble coming from his tailpipe and decided to trade in that sound for the bizarre blatting of a rotary. The motor used was a 13B-REW from an FD RX-7 and it seems to fit in the Subie's engine bay quite nicely - unsurprising, considering the 13B's extremely short length. The sharp-eyed among you will have no doubt noticed the rotary is mounted quite close to the front of the bay - that's because it's hooked up to the WRX's AWD drivetrain, meaning that this is one of very, very few AWD rotaries in the world.

It looks like a pretty professional installation and a tidy swap overall but I've gotta wonder, what's the point? Kudos to the owner for having the imagination and the conviction to see this mod through, but it just seems so... unnecessary. How about you? Would you drive around in this half-breed?

*Now i don't know why you would try to make a WRX even more unreliable [whistle]

Must have that Rotary M-azing sound of course.. Any video's of this? Must be playing on the senses not to hear the boxer grumble coming from it.

I was browsing the web for Engine bay Idea's when I cam across this. It appears to be a Supercharged 7m engine. Unfortunately the link I got it from had no more information bout it.

Define parameters and you may find out where the supercharger is better
