The pipes are stainless steel, the 4" intake is aluminum, not polished or anything.

Single layer, 3.2A/1 driving jackets like this one from R.J.S. are relatively inexpensive and are required when going quicker than 11.49 ET. This type of jacket is legal until you reach either 9.99 ET or 135 mph, whichever comes first.
A flywheel scatter shield is required on clutch equipped vehicles at ETs of 11.99 and quicker. Flywheel scatter shields help contain the flywheel and clutch pieces in the case of a catastrophic clutch failure. There are a number of commercially available units available for popular engines such as this Honda B-Series model from Mazworx Race Supply. On applications where a pre-made scatter shield is not available, the NHRA SC rulebook outlines the design specifications for construction of a compliant shield.

A two-layer, SFI 3.2A/5 jacket like this Simpson model offers much better protection over a single-layer jacket. A 3.2A/5 jacket or suit is required when running quicker than 9.99 ET or faster than 135 mph.
Any time an SFI 3.2A/5 jacket is required, it is also mandated that you have matching 3.2A/5 pants. Alternatively, a one-piece driving suit meeting SFI 3.2A/5 specs may be worn.
SFI 3.3/1 gloves are required at 9.99 ET or 135 mph.
An SFI 3.3 neck collar is also required at the 9.99 ET / 135 mph point. NHRA does allow you to modify a neck collar, as long as the manufacturer’s instructions are observed.

*Engine diaper or catch-pan device to capture oil and debris in event of engine failure mandatory. Where exhaust header passes directly under oil pan, two-piece diaper may be utilized. FWD vehicles using OEM manual-transmission case must also have such a device for the transmission, to capture oil and debris in event of transmission failure. If catch-pan device is used, catch pan must employ minimum 1-inch-high lips on all sides. Lips must be coved or curved inward, so as to contain oil in pan. 1-inch-high lips are a minimum. In all cases, lips must be adequate enough to contain oil in the catch pan. Should a competitor spill oil from the catch pan onto the track, he or she may be disqualified from further competition until catch pan is upgraded, regardless of height of pan lips or pan design.
