those that want to push it will learn. baby steps, can't wake up one morning and decide you going str8 to the top. Let those veterans to their madness, you practice to perfection. Or you can just be ....... and suffer the consequences.

I agree its a process however if you practice by yourself you will not reach the vets level. You need to run with them and then you will try certain things so that you can keep up. I do agree that you need to not step out too far. Btw being chased causes you to push the envelop a little more than when you are behind.

Wise words. You have to be in control in competition as much as possible. Especially with the horsepower we talking about here. Train on your own, push your driving limits till they meet with that of the car. THEN challenge. Is not money or pinks we racing for.

But if you by yourself you can set your own challenges...induce a spin and try to recover from it, brake hard while you in a tight turn, hell, find some boxes, someone to throw them in your way and practice dodging them.

Of course you need in the field experience, but if you know your car down to the bolt, that experience won't come with a lot of difficulty and dire consequences

Driving on your own vs Driving under the pressure of someone on your back bumper is completely different.

There is no way to simulate being chased without having someone chase you
