there are many locations, i have negotiated with a few people and looked into a lot of things.
1. In this country, for anything to get done, do it yourself. Don't depend on the government expecting them to give any assistance. Assistance will only come if its become successful. I have had my hand a trying to organize legal events, its not that it can't be done, but safety is one of the things that will prevent it from happening.
2. After visiting a few more areas i will be visiting the police commissioner once again since i have meet a few of his requirements from the last proposal i brought forth.
3. Remember, most of the other islands either had 1. An abandoned airfield (Jamaica, Trinidad, St Lucia, Grenada), someone who had the money to build a track (Antigua, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Guyana, Suriname, Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Thomas, etc) to provide them with the facilities. I mean look at the US, how many tracks are state owned? besides one or two in California that was built as part of a street racing alternative program. There are many areas with acres upon acres of land owned by the Same person that you can also bring forth a proposal to.
4. The project car idea has been floating around for quite some time, but I can already forsee quite a bit of the logistics involved.
All in all, there are quite a few people you can talk to. Put your stuff together and approach them. I no longer really have time for those things.

If a track was to be constructed on island what kind of track would be preferred andhow much space would be needed for that track? Also what are the possible locations? Any suggestions from the knowledgeable members?
my opinion ::: most ppl are into road track and not dirt or/and a 1/4 mile drag strip
as for locations ??? .......

We've had this discussion for a while now and I dont want to be the pessimist, but I really dont see it materializing any time too soon. Im convinced the only way we going to see a track of any kind in D/ca is if we can convince Gvn't that its economically benificial, because we dont have any other organization or individuals in D/ca with pockets deep enough to undertake such a project. Our only hope as sci pointed out earlier is if we get lucky in the future and a airport closes or some piece of road, because building one from ground up is really just a sweet dream at night.

Nah Tech I wasnt being sarcastic. Once you have something to show for real I'm down. Just be prepared for a long uphill battle. This wont be a drag race...it'll be more like the Baja 1000.
