the sti shortblock well the 2.5 litre because u should know is americans who love to push limits. i've heard 640 or so.. but you do understand this engine doesn't rely on harmoic balancers and balance shafts, its also a semi closed deck block all aluminum, the engine is horizontally opposed so there is a tendancy to create lean spots in the combustion chamber if injectors aren't placed properly, remember the fuel mixture isn't falling ontop of the piston rather along side it.. wierd stuff lol. The wierdest part is that the engine is like a sandwich, guts in the middle with two sides, the transmission as well. few other limitations to prodicing power would be the distance the turbo is away from the exhaust ports, and tight space for a big turbo. I just want 100more hp from mine, thats it!

encountered an obstacle in the wiring, seeing that subarus have one harness which basically goes round the car, the swap ppl cut the harness, so now i'm making the section that mustive stayed in the car, its a painstaking process [aww]

I was half asleep when i posted those 3 pics, I documented the whole thing to benefit those who wanna try it. I am still undecided to post the wiring. I have drawn up my own schematic and will have a hybrid harness, basically my harness from my ej25 with two jumper harnesses one at the ecu plug and the other downstream so, basically a plug and play affair no need to the sti wiring. Also retaining full car functions ie a.c, power steering, cruise control (actuator will be relocated). Of all the swaps I've done I will have to say this one is the most involved, not hard just many many steps. The cross member is a bitch, especially doing it all by myself with no one to help me lift the damn thing, more pics coming up

Thats where I stopped, factory tranny still in

Also when changing cross members from non turbo to turbo cross member, you're going to need to either change ur sway bars or sway bar bushing brackets, I'm gonna do one or the other depends on the budget.

STi Motor sitting in its resting place, bolted right on in about a 30mins, separated the tranny from the engine to inspect the clutch, there is an aftermarket one in there red clutch cover, and a momo oil filter.

couldn't take pics of it going in cause i had a few spectators one helped operate the hoist while i was guiding the engine and trans in place.

once it starts and runs well, the intake is getting powder coated, timing belt is being changed, downpipe is getting heat coated as well.
