wasn't a matter of that...all evos aren't my favorite. The new STi just has more power and is much lighter than the Evo X, so if it was actually slower, that would be a real mistake on subaru's part

NO OFFENSE " THIS WAS A COMPARISON BETWEEN OLD AND NEW STI"
THEY DID NOT STATE WHAT EVO THEY DID THE COMPARISON WITH.
THIS CAR IS OK, NICE TO SEE THEY ARE IMPROVING FINALLY WE CAN SAY SUB CAN NOW COMPETE WITH MITSU.
"P.S FROM MY POINT OF VIEW" MITSU WAS LIKE EVOMAN IN D/CA --- HE CANNOT GET COMPETION SO HE IS GOING TO HAVE TO SLOW DOWN TO GET SOME ONE TO CHALLENGE HIM AND THEN BUILD UP AGAIN.
THE EVO9 IS FASTER THAN EVOX SO THEY SLOWED DOWN SO SUB COULD COMPETE, YOU SEE MITSU NOT ALL THAT BAD NOW.
BUT THE SUB IS OK. YOU SHOULD DEFINATELY TRY GETTING ONE.

Glode what tuner or professional racer out there would agree with that lame excuse. OMG the sti was not a competition for the evo...is that a joke!!!!- but then again like you say "from your point of view" -not at all a fact or a professional opinion,- why don't you ask the guys at edmunds or any other pro test cars authorities out there. just admit mitsu disappoint is fans while sti got more fan. I just love that hatchback concept - european way to go. I bet you gonna see other ar makers gonna go into sports hatch...ei those that haven't.

Edmunds did rate the new Evo over the outgoing evo. they prefered its more refined performance
