really? I know about the drink gas, but reliability I didn't know about. You can get away with alot more power on stock internals with Nissan 2 litre engine than the 4g63 and 3sgte, I think stock block max on the sr20det is 600 plus whp, the ka4de is 530whp. Unlike the 4G63 the weak link in the sr20det being the floating rockers, the KA24DE would be the piston ring lands snapping under high boost... The rods and crank are forged on the KA from factory with oil squirters..I don't know bout the engines in the buses,vans in d/ca but i know mitsubishi had some issue with their pickups...they yet to get the diesel right.

Based on reliabilty, efficiency,response to mods & cost of maintainance.

Sr20Det in right hands can make the them supra man sweat, make fellas cry a pity the pulsar went into hiding, it would have been a nuisance for a certain evo

the 4d engines. them 2.5 diesel. heard they sucked, but i think its the pre 95 versions of em, those they made after both 2.5 turbo and n/a were quite fine. also the 2.8 turbo which were in the pajeros. other than that i praise mitsu for their great engines. ofcourse not of the manufacturers can put out engines without encountering gremlins. i personally know that the TD27 nissan diesel is not 100% happy, also the QD32 sucks diesel (3200cc) found in nissan pickups and them 4WD Urvans. among other engines, the ga15 is great till it need an overhaul and begins to suck more gas but its still reliable. thats bout all i know for these engine types since i used to work with em back at auto trade.

TB48 nissan patrol engine, with turbo is insane.........the rb25det with rb30 block is killer. I don't fancy diesel engines,I like the toyota 1kz-te...d/ca fellas killing them left and right
