The driver pulled the wheel to the left, ultimately causing the car to go more into the pole, If he swung out to the right it would have corrected itself or create sufficient drag to pop the line.. but everything happens for a reason. Just days before the drag event they have on the 17th, A skyline also crashed this week, I don't think the one I am working on will be able to make it either, due to further upgrades.

If memory sevres the e-brake is not computer controlled, but cable controlled. The e-brake was a good idea, but as usual in panic situations so not everyone thinks so quickly......or did I just repeat what Robby said?

yeah thats wha he trying to say, you gotta think really fast. and what i notice was the car started to ride the grass very early so maybe e-brake still wouldnt had stopped it, but hey the locking steering vibes was really what i see as the cause. wha you think?

The steering bascially locked hard over to the Left, there was nothing I could then do apart from stamping on the brakes like a motherf**ker. The Discovery continued to drag us uphill, front wheels locked to the left and all four wheels locked up...

The Discovery weighs almost three tons, its amazing but he did not feel us pulling his rear end to the side. When he finally looked in the mirror he could not see us at all as we were so far to his left we were out of his field of vision. The passenger spun around to see us hit the pole after the driver shouted out "where the hell are they".

Pulling on the e-brake would have accomplished nothing. Unfortunately my cpu did not work fast enought for me to even figure out why the wheel would not come back center let alone to quickly reach around and try to unlock the steering with the key.

I was pressing the brakes so hard that my right leg is sore as my leg was basically locked when we hit and the impact strained my muscles.

damn, i got a similar injury when my partner ran off a wet descending corner and we went off the edgde of the road. my feet were stuck to the flooring and when we hit the bottom i got a lil leg injury and my legs and back hurt for more than a week. so you all discovered anything in the steering column that caused the lock up yet?
