I feel you on that. Its said that awd car generally understeer vs rwd cars which oversteer. Is this a fact in your opinion? Is the car at 500hp or was that a reference? Is the GTR everything you thought it would be or more?

The car is nowhere near the 500HP region. Whoever gave you that idea? The car is basically stock. The statement was just to say that I will not be doing power upgrades until I get comfortable in the car and how it drives and reacts to different situations. As per your other questions I have not really driven the car so I cannot say as yet. The little I drove it, it really didn't feel to have understeer, if anything there is a mild oversteer due to power at the rear but there are other reasons which MAY have caused the reaction of the car. Remember the car is rear wheel drive until it starts to lose grip then it becomes AWD.

So it just looks like a GTR, but its not one.
I love the new R35, but the more I here about the less I want to buy one. There is just too much maintainance behind it at an ungodly cost. I think the Vspec will be even worst. The car is not for one with shallow pockets. The older models are the way to go I think.

Nothings changed. the Old GTRs were still expensive when they were new. If you look at all the previous designs and compare it to the the current you will see the design of the car actually evolve and not take a drastic change like everyone is making it out to be. The R34 was Loaded with electronics also, with the Active Center and Rear differential which was all ECU controled. They were still COSTLY to build. So in the GTR world....nothing has changed....only we complain more cause we expected nissan to turn the GTR into a cheap rocket.

I was not talking about the price of the car, well with respect to the standard GTR, I was, however, talking about the upkeep or servicing required to keep it running. Its not just change the oil and drive it. Even the costs a grip.
