Quick update:

We went out to the track last night but things are not looking too good. Both my mechanic and my tuner believe that I may havr a broken shift fork or 4th gear. I tried repeatedly but could get the car into 4th, and even when it felt like it was in gear, the engine just reved freely without any clutch or tranny engagement.

On a side note I only pulled a best of 1.95 60ft time. With the 2 step set at 6500 rpm, I spun all 4 of those 9.5 inch wide tires right through 1st gear. I'm used to 1.7's 60 ft with the stock turbo but I guess I have to start the learning process all over again because we all know wheel spin = slow [drive] .

Have you tried the G-Tec pro? I would liek to find out how it compares to the real thing, a track.

Please provide some feedback.

One of my friends have one. We're going to use it at the track next time.

have you tried slipping the clutch when you launch? i think the best launch is smooth with no wheelspin and not just dumping the clutch...

Dumping the cluch is not an option with the Evo. It will almost always bog if you dump the clutch. On that run I didn't slip it enough, thus causing the wheel spin. After that first run I discovered that I had bigger problems than moving the car off the line. I think I'm going to have the tranny pulled down to see what's going on inside.

I sold my wheels and put some stock Evo 9 wheels on for now. Since I have the smaller wheels and tires on I decided to lower the suspension as low as it can go. To my suprise the car rides much better and softer.
