Another discussion............ wait till this one turn into a Honda slow topic. Or get closed down.
On another note last time mention was made of getting hifi, band and djs and what not someone said that it would take away from the true meaning/purpose/intention of the event. Would attract the wrong crowd. I for one disagree wit that, even if they come solely for the sewo still not a problem, cause it would become another completely different kind of sewo and people would enjoy themselves, maybe even get into the race vibes or not. Just have an open mind and like it or not I'm getting fedup of these kinds of discussions, this is like the 4th one what's materialise since............ noting

Nothing beats a trial but a failure. I think if its huge with our small population it should be even massive over in D.A. Lend a hand, test drive the idea. Once you have a tuner committy at your disposal, your voice is strengthened tremendously and i think you could even give hope and courage to the younger generation. They'll follow your pattern. They too will want an EVO, they too will want skylines, Subees, civics, teggies and so forth. All this from one try. If it doesn't work out then you cancel, but you'll never know til you do and thats a fact and its worth a try. You may even have other persons journeying down from other islands just to be apart of this great moment.
As for the other point with music and bands or so, yes you will attract the other crowd, that is expected but you made a terrific point as well. What if they realise, hey this is how the D.A. car community get down, i should be apart of this, i should go join a team. If the crowd gives a great response and people have fun i guarantee the next time a percentage of the bystanders will be apart of the event. What you think? Is it worth a shot? All in your hands now guys. I'd say go, get the members of different clubs together, have a meeting, air your views, get some ideas in the air and discussed and you may come up with something even better.

having quite a bigger crowd makes the responsibility of the organizers bigger though, dunno how they would see the whole soup of motorsports and a jam all in one working out. but it still sounds good, just the crowd size and overseeing the events taking place i concerned about.

You see the d.cans are a rear breed. Individual ego's is number one priority..... people want to be recognised more than actually achieving or accomplishing something for the benefit of others.
Wit that said, we as a people need to put aside indifferences and that urge to be so pesimistic. Skidmarks people will come regardless of whether u have a hifi or a band.. Just out of curiousity they will come. Trust me, d.ca DOESN'T HAVE AN ESTABLISHED IMPORT SCENE! Those people who actually own cars, modding cars and doing shit are the ones who inspire everyone else including me.
Had it not been for those guys like none of us would be talking bout cars. ONLYDOMINICAN itself wouldn't exist had it not been for Izoe's website, and another one that existed then. I get worked up when it comes to the motorsports in d.ca cause there is obviously a following, there is a lack of unity amongst the players in the game. Together we rise divided we fall.
YOU WILL NEVER HAVE A RECOGNIZED MOTORSPORTS VIBE IN DCA UNLESS PEOPLE PUT ASIDE THEIR EGO. NO ONE PERSON IS AN ARMY.
oh anD SKID nopi nationals you have people who just come for the wet t-shirt contest, the music, some come to just hang, some come to race, some come because its something to do and some come for everything.

I need to see an event organised and carried through that's closer to an exhibition event, wit runs or something. I liked the burn out ting they had once, I would have participated had it not been for turbo issues at the time. (couldn't build higher than 12psi) I wanna see the scene develop. I heard Antiguans get or got duty free on performance parts (I heard, maybe u can confirm explain this further)

one here, one there, that doesn't seem like a steady progression, i suppose that's good enough.
