I'm not sure how well it would work because the question is how many guys would be able/want to pay to use the track. Because you must charge something to maintain the upkeep. I would personally prefer a circuit though. Never really liked drag racing.
I agree, a course is more appropriate however, a combination is still an option you know. make the drag strip cross the course. where all you think that can exist? i seeing castle bruce savannah. any thoughts? and one more thing, simplicity is good so we can think of something simple but effective for a start. what all you think? feedback please. i gan draw someting aight.
Word of advice - "Dont let them see you coming"
whispering now....
"True car enthusiasts are open-minded to everyone's creation"
Skid to make a circuit going to take as much even more material than it would take to make a road to one of them villages. You also have to realise a track is a controlled area. You gonna have to spend more for a road course dread..
IT IS POSSIBLY TO DO THE TWO IN ONE , THE RIGHT PORTION OF LAND WILL CATER FOR THIS, CASTLE BRUCE OPPOSITE THE STRECH , WOULD BE THE PERFECT PLACE, ADVERTISEMENT SPOTS TO BE SOLD, (CCD WANT TO NEGOIATE SOME ADVERT SPOTS FOR DICOUNTED CEMENT LOL)
HEY I JUST CAME FROM A DRAG STRIP THAT MIAMI DADE COUNTY OPENED UP TODAY THE 28TH OF JANUARY TO REDUCE THE SPEEDING ON THE HIGH WAY, THEY GAVE A 1/8 STRIP TO RUN, MAN THAT STARTED OFF AS A SUCESS.
BUT THE AREA AND THE GROUNDS MAN THAT THING LOOK SO SIMPLE SO PLAIN YET EVERY ONE ENJOYED IT THEY ARE GONNA BE OPENING UP EVERY FRIDAY SATURDAY AND SUNDAY,
NO LIGHTS YET, NO SEATS FOR AUDIENCE, NO SNACK SHOP OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT.
SO IF THEY COULD GET THAT FAR "SHOCKS" WE COULD TRY SOME THING SIMILAR FOR D/CA
i will get pics next week

Its not a matter of who races now. There are many guys who would not consider racing on the street because of the dangers involved. But that doesn't take away the fact that they are enthusiasts. Even within the police force has a lot of guys who would be interested in this. Hopefully today i can make some progress on Operation "You will know Later"
As a tourism product, Motor sport can attract more stay over visitors than what Dominica normally sees in their Off season, so we should probably gear our events towards those times. It really is a build it and they will come. The key to making it a success is getting the young guys like those in the Nissan Sunny's, corollas etc racing. Make allowance to the slow cars to be interested in competing

Ah a 1/4 track and a circuit....for what ? For Evo-man to race himself?
Realistically a 1/4 mile strip would suffice, St.Lucia uses an abandoned air strip to great effect. A circuit could then be based upon the success of 1/4mile track.
excuse me,.... but i think you need a 1/2 mile stretch to make use of a 1/4 mile stretch,... 1/4 mile to run and a 1/4 mile to stop!
some might think a 1/4 mile is a lot to stop, but if u think of it it would be easier on your brakes if you just let the car run off and slow down safely if you get my meaning
