Re: Project JZA80
Ok whatever that mean....
Anyhow on a more relevant note, tuning session today at 17psi, fuel injectors maxed out as well as map sensor. So now its time to upgrade to a Greddy 3 Bar or a 4 bar map sensor. 1600cc injectors have arrived as well as the uego, uego installed!

Re: Project JZA80
Well be using the greddy pressure sensor, there is much uncertainty whether it is a 3 bar or 4 bar. Since everyone here has to complicate tings by refering to it in different terms. Ok so according to the Greddy dealer who I speak to on a regular basis, says that's it 3Bar positive pressure = 43psi approx. and -14psi vaccum which is 28.504inhg.. So that's what we going with on both cars.
The pressure sensor however does not replace the stock unit, stock unit is still on for the ride but the signal has to be tappered of before between 4-5v or else the boost limiter will come on and u'll have disgusting boost cut/fuel cut whatever ppl want to call it. The Sensor is T on some vaccum hose, so we can tune effectively to our desired 35psi.
Fuel systems on the market cost tooo much bloody money, the Titan Motorsports kit cost lil over 2200.00 I believe that was the cheapest semi complete unit. MIne came to lil under that.. but includes the sheetmetal intake, 100mm throttle body, dual in tank pumps, SS dual feed lines, single return, in car fuel pressure gauge,.... blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.
Next stop.... cams, getrag, roll cage, ULTIMATELY 3.4 Stroker Kit!!!

Freakin out on teh fuel system cost man! is that because it's a JZA instead the typical 2J?

Re: Project JZA80
what?! damien you ok? JZA is the chassis number....2JZ is the engine. The costs are high due to the amount of things involved....6 Injectors, Two Fuel Pumps (Although the Titan Kit just comes with another factory pump since the Denso unit is a better unit than the walboros and more costly). The intake manifold alone from most "Names" is more than $1000 usd. so when you add it up..

Re: Project JZA80
ummm the titan kit doesn't come wit an intake manifold, yup stock supra pump flows more once its rewired. when it comes to stuff like intake manifolds it really doesn't matter who makes it, as long as the design allows for greater air capacity and flow you're set. Case in point One of the E30 runs 3 series motor with a custom sheetmetal intake owner made himself, with a no name welding machine.Car is insane insane insane, ran low 11s at about 15psi on turbonetics turbo. YEs brand names do research and development but custom work feels sooooo good.
