what iam looking for is the collaboration of all motorsport groups on island to cater for a massive fund raising drive. this is towards the developing the sport on island.

suggestions

jams,
road trips, weekend tours all members with vehicle sell out there available seats to the hisghest bidder, (evo-man three seats valued high)
car show (burn outs, runs, stunts) the plaques are there for the show already would only have to get trophies
sell rides (on the fast cars/ bikes)

sell out pics with the good looking cars

(auction/raffle, couple performance parts)

seek sponsors on island might have a few companies who are interested in that



our main goal is/should be to raise awareness of the motorsports on the island, develop it


if you all are intersted in undertaking these ideas my contribution is $100.00 to help and i will help what way i can if i see the interest is there.

COOL THEN WE CAN STICK WITH DOMINICA MOTORSPORTS ASSCOCIATION AS THE GOVERNING BOARD FOR motor sports ACTIVITIES/GROUPS ON THE ISLAND.


ALL IAM SAYING IS GET A COMMITTEE SET UP, A FEW PERSONS FROM EACH GROUP, NIMA, CLUB OVERDRIVE, THE BIKE CLUB , THE BOAT CLUB, WHAT OTHERS IT MIGHT HAVE in relation to transportation,

FORM THE DMA, PULL ALL PERSONS TOGETHER AND CREATE A "FOUNDATION" -- MOTORSPORTS GOVERNING BODY,

1) consider the DMA as the governing body for all d/ca motorsports groups/activities, schedule events planned (by each group) to prevent coincidental same day events ect.,

2) the reason for building the DMA financially before other groups, so it may be considered as a stepnie ( the backbone help when needed by any other group, with the correct business proposal that is, "loan")

3) with the collaboration of all groups, a governing body makes it easier to seek government/sponosrhip/ approval on certain issues for necessary help.

4) regular monthly executive meeting, updates or monitor progress/projects, ( on all groups ect)

i estimate it as 1 year of fund raisers is sufficent time to raise enough money to make DMA a strong group both financially and effically.

guys 2008 is the reunion year take advantage of that and sell out our crowd pulling potential.

every month got activities then we on the train.

AFTER WE START OFF THE DMA THEN WE ALL SUPPORT EACH OF THE OTHER GROUPS IN THEIR ACTIVITIES


MAN WHAT I KNOW AND IAM SURE YOU GUYS KNOW THAT ANY THING DEALING WITH TRANSPORT HAS STRONG INFLUENCE IN D/CA AND WORLD ON A WHOLE.

LETS MAKE SOME THING HAPPEN.


DMA formation

2/3 members from each group. (not the leader)

pull all the groups togethter on bay front on a friday/saturday night
like how it was done back in the day, and nominate persons for the various positions and then elect

elect the following

president-
vice president-
treasurer - financial dept ( bank account) montly report.
vice treasurer financial dept support
pro public relations
assist pro support
1/2 persons scouts -seeking potential sponsors
secretary-info retention and distribution




each member of DMA pays a $5( ) mnthly fee

DMA will have collaborative meeting every two/three months, meaning all group members of "nima,club overdrive, bike club, boat club" or non group affiliated members----

for instance, if there are guys/ladies who are not affiliated to one of the existing groups, they MUST become a member of the DMA to participate in motorsports activities, or recieve benefits, the whole idea is to make it a general group all person interest in motorpsorts can join.

AND AS I SAID THIS IS AIMED AS A GOVERNING BODY FOR ALL MOTORSPORTS GROUPS ON THE ISLAND. THAT WHY THE LEADERS OF THE GROUPS (NIMA,CLUBOVERDRIVE,BIKECLUB,BOATCLUB) CAN'T HAVE AN EXECUTIVE ROLE IN DMA (due to VISION CHALLENGES) AND TO PROVE THAT WE ARE NOT THERE TO BE ON THE BIAS SIDE OF THINGS.

dude, forgive me for being a lil blunt here. But when it have man especially those in leadership positions in those sportin groups refering to dudes like me and my associates, and other members of this forum as little boys, and other insults related to that, Do you really expect me to sit with them on a governing body for the motor sport industry? They only want to use us when the time is convenient to them and after wards cast us on aside and diss us when we are the only ones letting ppl overseas know what is going on. The Focus should be on unity in the industry, I am all for the idea of a group to talk for all, but i am against the idea of persons who have known biases sitting on these committees makin it possible for them to make biased decisions.
This is the same reason why I have never been interested in becoming a member of any of those groups, and i know i am expressign the sentiments of alot of those who are interested in the motor sports industry.

WELL AS THE SAYING GO "THE PAST IS THE PAST" LET LEARN TO FORGIVE AND MOVE ON "DO I HEAR AN AMEN?"

YOW SERIOUSLY LETS MOVE OUT OF THISPAST AND SET UP SOMETHING SERIOUS IN THE COUNTRY, THERE IS POTEINTIAL FOR VAST IMPROVEMENT AND I KNOW WE CAN DO SOMETHING SERIOUS,

THE REASON WHY I WOULD NOT ADVISE ANY LEADERS OF THE SUB-GROUPS TO PARTAKE IN THE EXEC-BOARD OF DMA IS TO PREVENT OR IRRADICATE THE COINCIDENTAL DIFFERENCES OF THE SUB-GROUPS,

AM NOT SAYING THAT THE SUB-GROUPS AIN'T GOING TO HAVE THERE FRIENDLY RIVALARY (because that what is gonna build the sport) BUT WHEN IT COMES TO THE DMA VIEW WE ALL NEED TO COME TOGETHER.




P.S THE LEADER OF CLUBOVERDRIVE AND THE LEADER OF TRUBOZONE(A.K.A BBP) THEY ARE BEST OF FRIENDS IN DEVELOPING THEIR CAR BUT WHEN THEY ARE ON THE TRACK THEY ARE ENEMIES? ALWAYS TRYING TO SEE WHO OUTRUNS THE OTHER.
