Oh man, no more comment on that post. Just a final statement All the 2jzgte I have done are from aristos, and I've helped several people all over the world put 2jz in 240sx, just helped chardy get his started, the red supra tho "u.s tuners said to get a us spec harness... blah blah" You want enough hp to maintain a happy tranny. Everyone just always on big power when its just not the first consideration when building a car.The transmission won't handle anything upward of 400 450 too long and doing a built or moded tranny is going to compromise your daily driving and the basic esthetic of the car. The red supra had a C4 auto trans, the diff has been rebuilt i didn't last too long under the power the previous owner had on it. The cost of power just goes up and up. The vvti motor is the best best option for the 2nd generation GS300

1. both cars have vvti
2. Both cars have wasted spark ignition system with sequential injection
3 contrary to horseshit talk the rods have been proven to be the same
4. Wiring yes I repeat wiring the engine is basic plug and play, the connectors are similar ecu in same location harness lengths are basically the same.. You aren't using the factory ecu but the 2jzgte ecu which has outputs to the car (oil pressure gauge, coolant temp, etc etc)

Likewise if you have a 1st generation lexus gs300 you will need the first gen motor since they both have the same wiring minus the 6 coils. Just for anyone who wanna doubt what i am saying I USED A LEXUS WIRING DIAGRAM THAT I GOT FROM LEXUS DEALERSHIP IN OCEAN COUNTY TO FIND THE PINOUTS FOR THE INFAMOUS Ik1/Ik2 PLUG..... thats how we get the aristo motor to work without buying a usdm supra harness, ecu and maf

should i go on? Do your do, but you will obviously have to deal with shortening the harness or have a cluster f*ck of excess wires if using a 1st gen non vvti motor (simply stated the harness on that car goes into the cabin) Anyway just some heads up with someone who knows.

I think they are lazy, because in japan they make good power and state side they want to ditch the VVTi set up. The VVTi helps alot with fuel economy and torque. Still considering one in the Ae86.

Het b20 how did you get an Aristo front end with no motor?
imagine i paid i already had an aristo front on my car but i rear ended someone in april so i had to buy another on....i paid $400.00 for the whole front....it came with radiator, a/c condenser, intercooler and some piping, rad support, bumper support, headlights, fog lights, hood and 2 fenders. and alot of lil extra parts that's in the front of the car.

The engine is still bone stock. Nothing special to show. I promise all the engine shots will be coming in a few short months [drive]

Still love the project, kinda bias. Would have probably gone with the black housing LED tails and headlights, but none the less very clean.

Are you gonna put a roof spoiler and/or trunk spoiler? Don't forget the Aristo rain/wind guards for the windows.

Project looks good.. some staggered rims bro.. hypersilver.. maybe.. with a lip.. Sex... Maybe some smoked tint.. 40%

Motion to me the red contrast from the black makes such a big statement.. I prefer see red against black and the chrome headlights against the black.. than black on black.. a bit over rated. to me..
